Ol Seki will be closed in April and May.
The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter. The best time of year to visit the Maasai Mara is during the Great Wildebeest Migration which tends to pass through the Mara between mid July to late October.

Ol Seki Mara Camp is a beautifully luxurious camp, located in the heart of Eastern Koiyaki in the South East of Kenya. There are ten very spacious rounded safari tents, each boasting a panoramic view of the famous Maasai Mara.
This relaxed, informal camp is situated in the remote Koiyaki area adjacent to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and is surrounded by wonderful wildlife viewing. At Ol Seki guests can enjoy the big 5 game viewing in the privacy of a game reserve away from the hustle of mass tourism. Guests can enjoy a truly isolated safari experience that winds back the colonial clock. Day trips into the Maasai Mara National Park can also be organised if requested.
The Large walk-in canvas tents with huge beds, solar lighting and fine linen provide comfortable accommodation for up to 12 guests, along with two expansive family suites. Traditional colonial décor coupled with all the modern amenities provide guests with a genuine Safari experience.
Activities are mainly about the wildlife and guests are taken in specially adapted safari vehicles on game drives, either during the day or by spotlight at night to catch a glimpse of those elusive nocturnal species. Walking safaris with an armed scout are also available as well as Hot Air Ballooning. Many guests also enjoy a visit to one of the Maasai villages and the guides in camp will happily show you around the Koikaki Guiding School, which the camp supports and from where most of the guides will graduated.
Ol Seki contributes directly to the Maasai community and is proud of the strong relationship held between the camp and the residents of the Koiyaki community.
Accommodation is in six rounded tents, each boasting a double and a single bed with the highest quality linen. All have a large en-suite bathroom and changing area with flush toilet and hot shower. The two family suites offer a spacious private living and dining tent flanked by two bedroom tents, each complete with en-suite bathroom, shower and changing area. Guests staying in the suite will benefit from their own private kitchen, with a dedicated team of staff for each unit.
There are 6 double tents with en-suite bathroom and private deck.
The two suites both have 2 double en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen and a dining room as well as a fully stocked bar fridge and deck area with seating.
Ol Seki accepts children and the family suites, ‘Simba’ and ‘Chui’are perfectly appointed to welcome families.
The camp has a library tent next to the dining tent and being raised up, both have the most stunning views out across the wilderness. A fireplace deck has also been added in front of the Library tent; this is an ideal spot for sun-downer drinks and a chat about the adventures of the day.
Activities from Ol Seki are customised to the guests' requirements and include game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives around the Koiyaki area, guided game walks, sundown safaris, visits to a Maasai Village, visits to Local guiding school, local IL Ntorobo talk and demonstration (on-site). Hot air balloon safaris and other activities can be organised on request.
