Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter. The best time of year to visit the Maasai Mara is during the Great Wildebeest Migration which tends to pass through the Mara between mid July to late October.

  3. Days 2-6: Maasai Mara

After enjoying a hearty breakfast in the Brasserie, you’ll be raring to go this morning as your driver whisks you to Nairobi Wilson Airport to board your 12-seater light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara. Feel your excitement build as you fly low over the sweeping Mara plains, dotted with wildlife and acacia trees. Arriving in the heart of the wilderness, your guide will meet you off the plane and game drive you just 10 minutes away to Ol Seki Camp, your safari home for the next four nights. Settle into your luxury tent, which exudes elegance and style, taking a moment to enjoy an ice-cold drink on your private veranda, listening the sounds of coucal birds as you gaze out over this vast wild area.

Spend your days immersed in the wild whilst experiencing Ol Seki’s incredible service. Let your excitement wander as you venture out on a game drive. Encounter a pride of lions and admire the cubs playing and tumbling in the grass, before being driven to a scenic spot to relish on a hearty breakfast out in the bush, cooked up over a stove under the shade of an acacia tree. If you want to splash out on something truly spectacular, let us book you a hot air balloon safari and watch in awe as you float along the mystical Mara River, with an eyeline view of the birds of prey that perch on the treetops. Once you are back on solid ground, celebrate your early morning escapade with a champagne breakfast on the savannah.
