With some of Kuala Lumpur's best views, The Trader's Hotel Kuala Lumpur by Shangri La is a fantastic option for those simply stopping in the city for a couple of nights at the start or end of a trip, as it's brilliantly located and offers a huge range of facilities. Whist it's not Kuala Lumpur's most luxurious option, it does offer clean calming rooms with sleek lines, a range of restaurants and superb access into the city; we feel its fantastic value for money.
The Sky Bar is a real draw to the hotel and so too the rooftop pool complete with a sauna and steam bath. For those who want to eat within the hotel complex, you can choose from Western or Asian at Gobo Chit Chat or the open air roof top Sky Bar that boats some of the best views in the city. Alternatively, eating out is very easy and you are in walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
We feel The Traders Kuala Lumpur provides a very comfortable base from which to explore this exciting city without breaking the bank.
The hotel is fairly large with 571 tastefully designed rooms with views over KLCC Park or the Twin Towers. The interior decor is cool and calming, with soft lines and a contemporary feel. The snugly beds, crisp linens and modern bathrooms are all you need after a day exploring the city. You'll also find all the main facilities that you would expect from a city hotel.
There are two restaurants to choose from, offering Western and Asian cuisine. There is a huge (indoor) rooftop pool,a spa and a 24-hour gym.
The hotel is within easy reach of the shops and restaurants, and if you would like some culture, it is possible to visit iconic sites such as the Petronas Towers or Batu Caves, and there are a number of markets where you can enjoy some local streetfood.
