Valbonne market is a thriving spectacle which sprawls its way around the town every Friday and attracts all kinds of stall holders and visitors from afar. Here you can find excellent fruit and vegetable stalls, clothing, cheeses, cured meats, jewelry, clothing, leather goods and also some more unusual items. Afterwards you can relax with a cool drink or lunch in one of the busy restaurants around the square, reflect and enjoy your purchases or just take in the atmosphere of the surroundings.
This is an area well-known for its links to famous artists, and the nearby St Paul de Vence, a 20 minute drive away, is no exception. A hilltop fortified village, filled with galleries and boutiques, it played host to Matisse, Picasso and Dufy, to name but a few at the beginning of the last century. The Colombe d'Or is worth visiting for lunch (a reservation will be necessary) to admire some of the original artwork on the walls.

The typical Mediterranean climate of Provence and the Cote d'Azur has long drawn visitors here. Late Spring brings warm temperatures that can reach nearly 30C by July. July is the driest month, and rain showers tend to be infrequent.
