Deplar Farm is home to 13 rooms, all of which boast a contemporary Nordic style and impeccable design. Natural colors are used throughout to ensure rooms feel bright and airy, and the distinct character of the farm can be felt in each room. While the décor is fairly minimalist the rooms are still warm and welcoming thanks to plush fabrics and a bed you'll sink into. Thanks to Deplar Farm's secluded location each room offers fantastic views, whether of the dramatic mountains or the peaceful lake.
In Deplar Farm's dining room the meals are designed to recharge you after your exhilarating adventures while bringing the surrounding nature to your plate. Fresh produce is provided by local farmers and ingredients are locally-sourced, resulting in a contemporary Icelandic cuisine that celebrates the natural resources of the country. While it may be tempting to spend your whole time enjoying Deplar Farm's extensive facilities, a stay here is all about exploring the rugged landscape of Iceland and discovering unique adventures. Whether you're a fly fishing aficionado or you'd like to try your hand at cross-country skiing, there's something for everyone at Deplar, no matter what time of year. Winter guests can explore on snowmobile, try snowshoeing or tubing, and during the summer guests can try sea kayaking, mountain biking or hiking.
Your time at Deplar Farm can be as adrenaline-fuelled or as laid-back as you'd like, and your personal experience manager can arrange and alter your itinerary to your liking. There are 13 en-suite rooms at Deplar Farm, which can be taken individually or all together as an exclusive-use retreat. Decorated in a contemporary Nordic style, the rooms are minimalist yet warm and welcoming escapes after a day out in the Icelandic countryside. Some rooms offer access to private balconies, while blackout blinds and the softest linens ensure a fantastic night's sleep. All bathrooms boast relaxing steam showers and amenities by Aesop.
Snorri faces south overlooking the hot tub and the beautiful mountains. The room is furnished with a king sized bed, en-suite bathroom with steam shower and measures 26 sqm. Located in the quiet part of the lodge, this is the perfect place to rest your head.
Odin is located on the second story of Deplar Farm and measures 22 sqm. The room is furnished with a queen bed and an en-suite bathroom with steam shower.
Named after the first Norseman to sail to Iceland, Flóki is a spacious suite measuring 42 sqm and is located on the second floor. The suite faces south and has lofted ceilings. The room is furnished with a king bed, en-suite bathroom with steam shower, television and complimentary mini bar.
One of the Spa Suites, Gunnar is located on the lower floor closest to the spa. The suite has access to an outdoor balcony, en-suite bathroom with steam shower, television and complimentary mini bar.
There are four Gallery Suites at Deplar Farm, which come complete with king size beds and access to an outdoor balcony. Each suite has a loft, accessible by a steep ladder with double bed and hammock. Amenities include a television and complimentary mini bar.
|Master Suite||This is the largest room in the lodge and faces to the North with great 270 degree views of the valley and mountains. There is a private living room and fireplace on the main floor in front of the spacious king size bed and a large en suite bathroom with a steam shower and bathtub. There is also an upper level with a spacious private lounge.|
Children are more than welcome at Deplar Farm. There are a variety of activities around the lodge suitable for children such as archery or laser tag, and they can unwind with a film or games in the media room after a day's adventure in the wilderness.

Deplar Farm is located in northern Iceland's Troll Peninsula, within the Fljot Valley.
When to go
Nordic climate - May, June and July are the driest months of the year. Mid-June to August is high season, but most highland tours don’t operate until July because of snow. At other times, many tourist facilities outside Reykjavík are closed. From September through March, the night is dark enough to see the Aurora Borealis. From mid-March to the beginning of June Deplar Farm is used exclusively as a heli-skiing destination.
