Exclusive in the UK to Scott Dunn guests, the luxury heated Teepee Wilderness Camp allows you access to unspoiled private locations deep within the Arctic Circle and some of Finland's most breathtaking landscapes. Combine this with the incredible activities available on your doorstep - snowmobiling, reindeer husbandry and kayaking to name just a few, and this promises an unforgettable adventure.

Lapland is the origin of the 'kotas' or Teepees used by nomadic reindeer herders and we are delighted to offer a luxury version of this authentic style of accommodation. With amazing opportunities for outdoor adventure surrounding you, heated interiors, high quality linens and gourmet dishes prepared over the campfire by your own chef, there is no better way to appreciate this incredibly diverse destination.

The camp will be set up exclusively for your family and a good sense of adventure is required as the teens help chop firewood and break through the frozen lake in search of the catch of the day. Whilst the camp itself doesn't have electricity or running water, you will have a sauna and LED lighting available to ensure a comfortable stay and your wilderness guide is never far away.

Located far from interruption, the camp offers perfect conditions for Northern Lights viewings during winter months and a fabulous burst of color and wildlife during never-ending summer days. Whenever you choose to visit, you can be sure of incredible adventure, quality family time and memories that linger.

Your camp will be set on a private island in the Inari Lake District region of Finnish Lapland.

When to go

Winter is the most popular time to visit Finnish Lapland. The winter temperatures can vary anywhere between 0°C and -40°C. The average temperature in January is -14°C, but the cold is not biting because the air is dry. There can be as much as one meter of snow and it usually lasts until May. There is potential for Northern Lights viewing throughout the winter months. As the Teepee Wilderness Camp is erected especially for your family in a remote Lapland location, it does offer a unique experience year round, and the summer months are ideal for enjoying the Lappish wilderness and the Midnight Sun.
