Description
The Arctic TreeHouse Hotel is a striking collection of wooden pods designed to seamlessly blend into the surrounding nature. Each stylish suite features luxurious interiors and floor-to-ceiling windows for an immersive Finnish Lapland woodland experience.
The aim of the Arctic TreeHouse hotel is not only to provide cosy, luxury accommodation but also to be an engaging experience where you are fully absorbed in the surrounding nature. Each of the Scandinavian-designed pods is constructed to be ecologically-friendly and sympathetic to the Lapland woodland around the hotel. Their design features Finnish wood and green roofs adorned with foliage, not only to blend in to the surroundings, but also to reduce the hotel's footprint. The buildings were even constructed off-site and then lifted on to the location to minimise any disturbance to the surrounding flora and fauna.
The accommodation at the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel ranges from individual or interconnecting suites to the two-bedroom Glasshouses, which are perfect for families wishing to stay together, boasting their own sauna and kitchenette. The units all feature soft, natural fabrics and are all constructed over a hillside ensuring that no room is overlooked, and each accommodation features an impressive north-facing floor-to-ceiling window with uninterrupted forest views. The lighting at the hotel is also carefully designed to reduce the amount of artificial light in order to maximise the chances of viewing the Northern Lights directly from your room.
The modern Scandinavian design of the hotel by Studio Puisto is influence by the artic nature and the rich Lappish culture. The main building is designed to be shaped like a snowflake and features an inviting fireplace, making it the perfect spot to retire to at the end of the day.
The stylish Rakas restaurant serves up local, Lappish delicacies such as reindeer, fish and wild berries, prepared with a modern twist. We can even organise for you to dine privately under the stars in a traditional Laavu for an extra-special experience with a personalised meal cooked over an open fire. Otherwise you may choose to have dinner in a secret forest location, away from any light or noise in fairy-tale woodland setting.
The Arctic TreeHouse Hotel is conveniently located just a few kilometres from the airport and a 10-minute drive from Rovaniemi centre, making this an ideal base to enjoy the plethora of activities available in Lapland, which can all be included in your stay.
