The main season is in January and February, when the weather is hottest and driest. At this time the animals in the wildlife parks tend to congregate more around the watercourses making them easier to spot.
Northern and eastern Kenya temperatures vary from highs of up to 40°C/104°F during the day to less than 20°C/68°F at night. Rainfall in this area is sparse and, when it does occur, is often in the form of violent storms. July is usually the driest month, and November the wettest.

Description
The official Safaricom Marathon base, Maridadi Camp puts you at the heart of the action. A traditional eco-friendly mobile camp, the tents are well equipped and comfortable. They're the perfect home from home and the focal point for post-race festivities.
Set up in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Maridadi Camp is a luxury tented camp erected especially for runners and spectators. Typically used when filming on location, they leave no trace when they're taken down making then the ideal eco-conscious choice. There runners and supporters gather to share stories around the campfire and enjoy delicious home cooked meals.
At Maridadi Camp, you find yourself in the centre of the 61,000 acre Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, one of the world's most important and beautiful reserves. Home to Kenya's largest rhino population, you're also likely to spot elephant, giraffe, buffalo, wild dog, and more.
From here you'll be able to join game drives and bush walks, plus the various behind-the-scenes activities planned by Tusk and its partners.
