The hottest months of the year are July and August, when there are typically more visitors to the island. May, June and September can be the best months to visit Sifnos as the weather is pleasant and the island is usually a little quieter.

Close to the town of Artemonas, the boutique Verina Astra is tucked away in a secluded spot in east Sifnos. Thanks to its location overlooking the sparkling blue waters below and with the island of Paros in the far distance, Verina Astra boasts one of the best views on the island.
The 14 rooms and suites at Verina Astra are designed in a contemporary minimalist style, using neutral tones and natural materials to complement the hotel’s surroundings. Every rooms has its own private terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture, offering the same spectacular views of the Aegean Sea. The boutique scale of the hotel ensures a tranquil, relaxing stay, far from the crowds of the other Cycladic islands.
The small dining area serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with an outdoor terrace from which to enjoy the vistas alongside your meal. Breakfast can also be enjoyed on your private terrace.
Verina Astra has a beautiful infinity pool with the blue waters of the Aegean as its backdrop. The pool is surrounded by comfortable loungers and day beds, and is the perfect spot to while away a day in the sun. From this vantage point, guests will also be able to spot the picturesque town of Kastro, jutting out on a hilltop below.
Verina Astra has just 14 rooms and suites boasting a contemporary style, with natural materials used throughout. While the rooms are beautifully designed, the highlight of each is the spacious private terrace which overlooks the spectacular views of the sea and islands beyond.
While Verina Astra welcomes children of all ages, there are no specific childcare facilities and we feel this property is more suited to adults.
Verina Astra has a small dining area which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the day. Although there are no restaurants within walking distance, the town of Artemonas and the capital of Apollonia are just a short drive away.
Sifnos is renowned for its hiking and there are several trails around the island. Guests can set off directly from the hotel and walk around Sifnos, accessing charming hilltop towns and rural villages.
