Hotel EPI 1959 Baie de Pampelonne France
  • Capture the old-world charm of Saint-Tropez at this legendary hotel frequented by Brigitte Bardot, Johnny Hallyday and Audrey Hepburn.

  • Stay in one of the 9 original white-washed bungalows, thoughtfully reimagined with vintage furnishings, wooden floors, and creamy tones.

  • Capture the original spirit of this Mediterranean hotspot at the beachside restaurant with wicker furniture, lush palms, and superb cuisine.

  • Relax around the two glittering pools or work up an appetite on the championship clay tennis courts.

The Épi opened in 1959 when the French Riviera became the playground of the rich and famous. Nestled behind the sand dunes of Pampelonne Beach, the 10 wooden cabins and clay tennis courts were a mecca for the jet-set and guests included Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, Serge Gainsbourg and Alain Delon. Today, the hotel retains its sophisticated glamour and quiet luxury, qualities that are increasingly rare amid the glitz of this legendary resort.
There is an intimate vibe and with just 9 bungalows guests can expect personal and discreet service, with the benefits of a 24-hour butler, excellent concierge, and valet parking. The airy bungalows are stylish and considered, with private patio and outdoor rain shower, sumptuous bed, Wi-Fi, climate control, Smart TV, safe, and complimentary tea, coffee, and soft drinks. Bathrooms come complete with robes, slippers, Bamford toiletries, and a Dyson hairdryer.
Continental breakfast is included, along with afternoon refreshments by the pool and a daily food and beverage allowance. The relaxed Club Restaurant enjoys a beachside location with all-day Mediterranean dining, while there’s service on demand around the pool.
Along with the two glamorous swimming pools flanked by loungers and parasols, there is a fitness centre, yoga and meditation deck, spa, and hair salon. Guests can also perfect their backhand on the two championship clay tennis courts, join a group class or book a private lesson. For golfers, there’s complimentary access to the Golf Club Saint-Tropez in nearby Gassain, where the 18-hole course enjoys spectacular coastline views. The Épi also offers electric bikes, sea bobs, sea scooters, paddleboarding, and direct access to several running trails. Pampelonne Beach is just steps away, where younger guests will find the Surf Shack Kids Club.
