For those looking to experience the old-world luxury, glamour and personal service of St Tropez, a stay at AREV is a dream come true. Literally, as the hotel takes its name from the French word to dream, rêver, with guests invited to a rêve in the sun as inscribed on the bottom of the glittering pool. This delightful boutique hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the town’s vibrant shops, cafés, restaurants and beaches, and yet it retains the serene and peaceful pace of Provence.   
 
Taking inspiration from St Tropez’s historic square, the Places des Oliviers courtyard is lined with olive trees, boutiques, and a retro food truck. It’s a tranquil setting for a coffee by day and a cocktail by night. While the pool, lined with loungers and cabanas, is the perfect spot for snacks, DJ sets and live music. The hotel’s supersmart design and décor reflect the colours of the tricolore, Breton-stripes abound and with no formal check-in desk, arrivals have a welcome home vibe, reflecting the personal service AREV prides itself on.  
 
There are 50 individually designed rooms and suites, many with private gardens. They boast a soft palette of terracotta, ochre and pastel blues, while beds are a heavenly mix of fine linens and dreamy goose down bedding, and bathrooms include marble topped vanities, Dyson hairdryer and products from Maison ST. Classic Rooms sleep up to two with a choice of garden view, balcony or terrace, while Deluxe Rooms include a private terrace and are close to the pool scene. For easy access to the pool, opt for the stylish Poolside Suite. Junior Suites include a spacious seating area and either a balcony or terrace. They sleep up to three adults or two adults and two children under 12 years, as does the stylish One Bedroom Suite. For the ultimate in space, style, and privacy, book a Signature Suite or Villa which include large private gardens. 
 
A longtime favourite eatery in St Tropez, The Strand, has been revived and relocated to AREV and serves accomplished Mediterranean cuisine, beautifully executed and presented. There are also talented mixologists on hand to create your perfect drink at both Q’s Bar and the Pool Bar. 
 
With wellbeing in mind, guests can enjoy yoga, Pilates, padel, pétanque, a gym equipped with Peloton bikes and state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and a soothing spa. In collaboration with Maison ST, the spa offers bespoke non-invasive beauty treatments and massage and is home to two hammams. There are also e-bikes to borrow.
