Beginning with a boat ride from the lodge to the local town, your guided tour will first take you on a visit to the local school (during term time only). Stroll through the Sea Turtle Conservancy centre and museum, take in the local artisan shops and general goods store, and walk down the quaint streets of colourful Afro-Caribbean homes. You will get the chance to stop for a chat with the locals and learn about their way of life firsthand, browse and buy the locally made crafts, and sample some of the delicious Creole cuisine unique to the area.
