Amandayan is located just above the small intertwining lanes and canals of Lijiang Old Town and boasts 34 elegantly appointed suites and 1 villa, many of which come equipped with stunning views of the surrounding city, countryside and snow capped mountains. The design of the property utilises the traditional architectural style of the indigenous people of the north western Yunnan - the Nakhi people.
Each of the suited and villa are decorated with materials and fabrics from the surrounding region creating a beautiful sense of place and atmospheric design with an unmistakable Chinese feel. There are three types of suites with the courtyard and deluxe suites spread over 72 square metres and very similar in layout with spacious bathrooms and comfortable living areas with the only differences coming from the views and floors they are located. There is also the two bedroom Amandayan Suite which is bigger, spread over 440 square metres, and ideal for couples or families travelling together.
Amandayan's Chinese restaurant serves Yunnan and Cantonese cuisines with a delicious dim sum menu for lunch. Alongside this the Lounge focuses on seasonal and locally grown produce and acts as an all day restaurant. The traditional tea house is beautifully designed over two floors with indoor and outdoor seating complemented by views over Old Town Lijiang and serves Chinese and Western tea sets including Dim Sum.
To indulge further at the Amandayan the stunning Aman Spa offers an incredible range of treatments drawing influence from Traditional Chinese Medicine and using Aman's own skincare range. There is also a stunning 20 metre heated outdoor swimming pool and Amandayan's own private cinema with 30 reclining leather seats and a 42.5 metre square screen.
