Vancouver's climate is the mildest in Canada, averaging 20°C in summer and 2°C in winter. But you don't hear much about that accolade. Instead you hear about the rain. Bucket loads of it fall, especially in winter (January, February and March). In the mountains, a mere 20 minutes away, this translates into snow for excellent skiing. TThe average seasonal snowfall at 1600m (5000 feet) is a spectacular 25 metres (75 feet), four or five times the average in most areas of the Alps. July through September are the best bets for sunshine

With unobstructed views of the harbour and mountains beyond, the Fairmont Pacific Rim offers a prime location for exploring this vibrant and cosmopolitan city, with a stunning rooftop pool and terrace to unwind and enjoy the view from.
A newcomer to downtown and joining the already well established Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and Fairmont Waterfront, the Fairmont Pacific Rim brings a modern contemporary edge to this usually very traditional brand. With casual sophistication, the hotel blends Asian and west coast influences to it's interior and style, bringing a bright and light atmosphere to the whole property.
With an abundance of extraordinary dining options close by guests would be forgiven for overlooking the hotel's offerings. However, you would be missing a treat with the superb new restaurant serving fine evening dining through to the Giovane Wine Bar and cafe for lively and eclectic daytime and early evening fare. Or perhaps enjoy a relaxed drink in the lobby lounge where you will find the hotel's impressive Fazioli piano is often played for guests enjoyment.
Rooms at the Fairmont Pacific Rim offer all the latest in comfort and technology at your fingertips. The exceptionally comfortable Stearns and Foster beds ensure a luxurious nights sleep, the fine marble bathrooms offer indulgent amenities and the latest in extras including an in mirror TV! We highly recommend upgrading to a harbour view room for these are rare within the city and there are few cities you can wake up to watch seaplanes landing on the harbour or snow capped mountains in the distance.
Although you may wish to spend all your time in the city, spare at least a little time to take advantage of the Willow Stream Spa. With a wonderful menu of indulgent treatments, three lounges (two with fireplaces) and surrounded with lovely water views, this is the place to lose a few hours before returning to city life, relaxed and revived.
The hotel offers 377 guest rooms, suites and speciality rooms.
The Fairmont Gold Club on 20th and 21st floors offers additional benefits of a private lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails as well as panoramic harbour views from the balcony.
All feature Mascioni fine linens, Stearns & Foster beds, spacious spa-like marble bathrooms with television-mirrors, bedside touch-screen controls for lighting, temperature, curtains and entertainment, as well as wall-mounted 42” LCD televisions with surround-sound, media connectivity panel, Nespresso machines, alarm clocks with iPod connectivity.
Also, unusual for Vancouver, over 70% of rooms offer spectacular harbour and mountains views.
The impressive array of speciality suites offer the ultimate in luxurious city living accommodations. With spectacular mountain and harbour views and all with unique features, they are one of the best addresses in the city.
Children are welcome to come and stay at Fairmont Pacific Rim and babysitting can be arranged on request.
Fairmont Pacific Rim has three restaurants, lobby lounge and bar with live entertainment six nights a week, state of the art Health Club, rooftop pool, with fire pits and private cabanas, Willow Stream Spa, full wireless internet.

Excellent hotel overlooking the waterfront with a great vibe, contemporary rooms and great restaurant and bar. Two minutes from the sky train and with great harbour views this is a perfect base for your stay in Vancouver. Worth paying extra for their Gold Level rooms with complimentary services.

Fairmont has long since been the Canadian staple. Known for their huge opulent exteriors and often very generic and traditional (some may say old fashioned) interiors you can be forgiven from perhaps shying away from this brand. The Pacific Rim though is a world away from the Fairmont staple. Think modern, think contemporary and think very very hip and you have the Pacific Rim. From the ever so trendy lobby bar complete with evening music and an after work set letting off steam after the working week, to the cute Giordano caf complete with shelves of sweet goodies and its own gourmet market offering delicious Canadian treats to take away and enjoy. The entire 4th floor takes up an impressive and luxurious spa, the pool is the place for a refreshing dip and the restaurant boasts a spectacular open kitchen and a definite non hotel restaurant feel. The guest rooms are little havens from the city. Huge bathrooms lead through to contemporary bedroom furnishings in muted tones with occasional splashes of artistic colour. We recommend the Signature Harbour View rooms for the best experience, where you can watch the seaplanes swoop in from the comfort of your bed. If you can run to it, the Gold Club floors offer that extra bit of pampering with a private lounge and stunning views from the private balcony. The Pacific Rim pulls Fairmont into the 21st Century with style and panache, with service second to none this is definitely the place to stay on Vancouvers harbour.
