Average time to visit

In the western, central and eastern Bhutan (Bumthang) you will mostly experience cold European-like weather. Winter lasts here from November to March. The Monsoon occurs between June and August when the temperature is normally between 8° and 21°C. October and November are arguably the best months, when the monsoon has passed and the skies are clear. The spring months of March, April and May are best for the flora, but it can be stormy as the monsoon builds up for July-September.

Yozerling Lodge is a cosy guesthouse located close to Bumthang in the mountains of Bhutan. It is one of the more remote options while still being only a half hour flight from Paro.

Yozerling Lodge is located near to Bumthang (also known as Jakar), the district capital of Bumthang in the central- eastern region of Bhutan. Bumthang has a small domestic airport and is otherwise accessed by road from Trongsa, three hours to the west.
The lodge itself is simple and basic, with cosy rooms and traditional furnishings and décor. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and a large window overlooking the beautiful natural scenery. Some rooms also have balconies. The 24 rooms are simple yet comfortable, decorated in traditional style with cosy pine wood interiors, thick mattresses and warm blankets. Some rooms in the older section of the hotel have traditional ‘bukharis’ (wood burning stoves) and the rest are equipped with electric heaters. The rooms can be arranged as doubles or twin rooms and have comfortable inside seating areas overlooking the gardens and mountains.
The facilities are modest yet adequate; there is a small bar and a buffet style restaurant serving hearty meals in a range of style. Dietary requirements can be accommodated here.
