Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

Cobblers Cove is a mature property, offering something a little different. It has a plantation style feel with beautiful open-air living spaces to soak up the wonderful views and the sounds of the Caribbean Sea. With no TVs in the rooms you are sure to engage with the stunning location. Being slightly north of the Holetown area this property gives a more authentic setting amongst villas, chattel houses and local bars so wandering out along the beach to explore a little is a must.

A real haven of tranquillity awaits you at Cobblers Cove. With only 40 individually decorated suites, it's not a large resort so you will soon feel part of the family! The pink and white striped towels and parasols contrast so beautifully with the turquoise Caribbean Sea; I was instantly transported back in time to 1950s Italian Riviera! Saying that, it has a very fresh Caribbean feel to it and with it being right on the beach you can relax on the terrace by the pool and be in the sea within seconds!
The hotel is trying to retain their beach and have put breakers in the water to try and stop the inevitable erosion so the beach is quite narrow in front of the hotel. I love the bright airy lounge, where afternoon tea is served each day!

Cobblers Cove is a beautiful resort with an English country feel. There is access to a small beach just to the side of the resort but the facilities on offer make up for this.

The thing I loved about Cobbler's Cove, is the wonderfully convivial atmosphere. Most guests have a drink and order their food at the bar, before heading to their table for dinner, and everyone stops for a chat with fellow guests and staff. I had a ground floor suite, and they all have a small garden area in front. They gardens are open to the central lawn, but have planting either side, so feel wonderfully private.

Despite being set right on the beach just 10 minutes walk from Speightstown, youd be forgiven for thinking youd stepped back into an English country garden on arrival at Cobblers Cove. Lush, green lawns, tropical shrubs and trees abound as you walk toward what looks like an English Country House. The main building is a fusion of Caribbean colours and English gentility. There is a lovely lounge where afternoon tea is served and a superb restaurant right on the waters edge.
The feel here is relaxed, calm and quiet. Although children are welcome, and the suites work well for families, there isnt a childrens club. Theres a small pool and that lovely beach as well as a TV room (theres no TV in the suites, although they all have complimentary WiFi).
The suites all benefit from a separate lounge and bedroom, although only the bedroom is air conditioned. The bathrooms are relatively small and rather dated, but functional and clean.
They all face in towards the gardens and I liked that you can pull the shutters all the way back to make and inside / outside lounge. If you prefer a sea view, the oceanfront suites are your best bet.
Cobblers Cove has a nice feel to it. Its not the place for non stop nightlife, if you want that though its not far away, its the place to relax in lovely surroundings with good food and good company.
