Average time to visit
The Mendoza region can be visited year round although October to April is considered the best time to visit. Summer time from December to February brings the hottest temperatures and there is more chance of rain. The spring and fall of Mendoza are very pleasant months to visit with the changing colours of the vines and have more comfortable temperatures. Winter in Mendoza, notably June and July, sees the driest months and temperatures drop to the 50s-60s. The wine harvest or vendimia takes place typically early March and is a great time to visit, although bookings should be secured well in advance.

The Vines Resort & Spa is the ultimate in chic, modern comfort. The spacious villas feel like high end apartments complete with private kitchenettes, living rooms and private terraces. Premium bedding, cozy blankets and rich fabrics ensure your comfort along with excellent service. Upgrading to a one bedroom deluxe villa is worth it without a doubt, due to the added indoor fireplace, double shower, huge terrace with multiple seating areas and private fire pit. The on site restaurant Siete Fuegos is fantastic, however it is important to note that wine can only be ordered by the bottle and meals can be pricey.

As you are taken through the entry gates you wind through the vines and gravel road to get to the reception area of the hotel. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice as you are shown to your villa. All of the dcor is modern with a cozy feel as if you are staying in a luxury cabin/lodge. The villas all have a kitchenette area stocked with waters, milk for coffee and a complimentary bottle of malbec. The terrace has lounge chairs with a view of the property. There is a comfy couch with Apple TV making it very tempting to stay inside and cozy up with a glass of wine. The service was fantastic and the meal at Siete Fuegos was probably the best I've ever had. The offer tours/tastings of the winery and horseback riding, biking that you can do from the property. On a hot day, you can cool off at the lovely pool they have with lounge chairs and cabanas. Not a place great for kids but ideal for couples.
