The Pampas, Argentina
Estancia La Bandada
  • Traditional colonial style estancia with just seven rooms set on a 250 acre plot of pastureland in the heart of the Argentine Pampas

  • Learn about the gaucho lifestyle whilst taking a ride around the property on one of their horses that are used to all levels of riders

  • Owned by local artist Sebastián Goñi who has made his mark on this historical property

  • Enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside and spectacular sunsets; swim in the pool, walk across the fields, spot wildlife and even take part (or watch) a polo match

A refreshing escape in the Argentine countryside, Estancia La Bandada (formerly Estancia Candelaria del Monte) is a beautifully restored historic estancia which still operates today as a working farm. The Criollo Horses are well looked after and there are a variety of sizes and temperaments suited to each individual rider. Whatever your experience level, the attentive staff will be able to accommodate you and ensure that you are comfortable when taking the horses out for a ride, and the friendly estancia dogs will be more than happy to join you too! With just seven guest rooms at the estancia, the staff are able to highly personalise your stay and ensure that your time in the Pampas is memorable.

Owned by local artist Sebastián Goñi, Estancia La Bandada has been given a modern twist, yet retains its historic charm. Each of the seven rooms is unique and rustic in style, with comfortable furniture and colourful local textiles, while common areas are designed to feel homely and welcoming. Surrounded by trees and 200 acres of open grassland, the natural beauty of the area will leave you feeling relaxed after a long flight or action-packed itinerary throughout South America. Riding, farm activities and birdwatching are included in your stay, while polo lessons and fishing can be arranged at an additional charge. A large outdoor pool provides the perfect spot to cool off after a long ride.
