With a maximum 1,250 guests and 800-strong staff, the vibe on the Riviera is warm, personal, and attentive. Like sister ship, Marina, the high-end décor and upscale amenities and facilities create a sense of sophisticated luxe. There is a range of enrichment activities that include guest speakers, workshops at the Artist Loft, and cookery lessons at the Culinary Centre. Other daytime activities include time at the pool, spa and gym, deck games and curling up in the library with a good book. During the evening, there is an entertainment programme of live music, cabaret acts and shows, along with a casino.
The main event onboard is the outstanding culinary offering. The ship has an open-seating policy so guests can choose where and when they dine and there are five speciality restaurants to choose from serving Asian, French, Italian, European and US classics. For a more opulent experience, La Privée offers private dining, while La Reserve by Wine Spectator specialises in paired dining. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed to the accompaniment of a string quartet and there are several casual dining options including Waves Grill, the Terrace Café, and Baristas coffee house.
Standard amenities in the well-appointed cabins include a comfortable seating area, Tranquillity Bed, Wi-Fi, interactive TV with on-demand movies, complimentary soft drinks, and water, along with ensuite with robe and slippers. Guests can choose from a wide range of accommodation from entry level Inside Staterooms to the prestigious Owner’s Suite. Suites include 24-hour butler service, priority embarkation and card-access to the Executive Lounge, a benefit also enjoyed by guests booking Concierge Level Veranda Staterooms. The Riviera offers a range of itineraries that include Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Alaska.
