My love of adventure began in high school when I visited Europe to play volleyball. From that point, I’ve seized every chance to explore that’s come my way. I've been lucky enough to travel extensively through most of Southern and Eastern Africa - and have recently added Egypt to my list of African countries - being immersed in the culture, ancient history, wildlife and landscapes of Africa.
I've run a marathon in Kenya, been dwarfed by the Great Pyramid of Giza, trekked mountain gorillas in Rwanda, been surrounded by elephants in Zimbabwe, kayaked the croc and hippo infested waters of Lake Tanganyika in Western Tanzania, walked through Zambia – home of the walking safari, traversed the watery wilderness of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, and marveled at the Big Five in South Africa, to name but a few. The experiences Africa can offer are endless, and the memories truly unforgettable.
I’ve had the joy of getting lost in European cities; traveling across Australia in a van; trekking the Incan trails of Peru; zip-lining through Costa Rican rain forest; surfing famous breaks in Baja; hiking some of America’s most beautiful parks, climbing sheer rock face; traversing glaciers in New Zealand; snorkeling in Fiji; swimming on the edge of Victoria Falls and bungee jumping off of one of the world’s largest bridges.
Whether I’m planning a night out or a family journey of epic proportions, I’m passionate about creating memorable experiences. I’m an outdoors nut, love health and wellness, and am big on environmental and animal conservation.
I’ve been a science teacher, health coach, volleyball coach, and dabbled in corporate wellness. When I found myself leading university classes on educational trips around the globe, I quickly got to know the ins and outs of the travel industry. I was hooked, and the rest is history.

Travel nuggets
Once you’re done packing, take half of the clothes you’ve chosen. It will probably still be too much!
Bring photographs of your life at home - friends, family, vacations - to share with the locals.
On safari, resist the urge to request to see a specific species or animal. Trust your guides to give you the best experience.
Don't forget to enjoy the moment and take a step back from the camera.
Speak up! Don't be afraid to ask for something you want of might want to change.
