- 5 years' Experience in Travel
Italy was the first country I truly got to know. It all began with skiing in lesser known Italian ski resorts like Madesimo, where, at 5, I found myself thrown into Italian ski school not speaking a word of Italian! I grew attached to Italy and the mountains over the years. Later, studying Italian and French at university led me to live in Bordeaux and then Palermo for the best part of a year - actually in 2020 during Covid! There’s something about Sicily that just stayed with me. I've seen nearly every corner of this amazing island. After years of sharing my travel discoveries, lists and tips with family and friends, I realized I could make it my job!

What's the best thing you've ever brought back from your travels?
Ceramics and tableware everywhere I go. My best finds have been from the Garden Route in South Africa from various farm stalls and Grottaglie in Puglia.

What’s the most incredible natural phenomenon you have witnessed?
At sunset, from a small wooden boat on the sea, I watched Stromboli erupt, spitting lava into the air before it flowed down into the water near us.

What is the best hotel you've ever stayed at and why?
Badrutt's Palace in St Moritz. I think about it every day. The breakfast, the staff, the lake views and a vintage Rolls Royce which guests can enjoy a ride in!

VIEW HOTELHotel La Perla
La Perla in Corvara is right in the heart of the Dolomites. It's utterly charming with lovely staff, wonderful food and the most dreamy spa. It's also ski-in-ski out which is so rare in the Dolomites. -
VIEW HOTELMasseria Torre Maizza, a Rocco Forte Hotel
The best sunset spot for aperitivo in northern Puglia is at Torre Maizza. They have bikes so you can cycle to their beach, and the gardens have the most amazing oranges and lemons which smell divine. -
VIEW HOTELCervo Mountain Resort
Cervo has a comprehensive wellness program daily, a huge ice plunge pool and a cosy yurt with a log burner always going where you can sit with a book and have mint tea - all after a day of skiing!
