Sanitburi has lots to offer its guests with an extensive range of facilities, to include a kids club, golf course, watersports, tennis courts, cycling - you name it! So it's a great option for those who find it hard to stay still on holiday. The service here is wonderful with staff around to attend to you every whim, however some of the rooms are a little tired so they are doing some renovations to bring them up to scratch.

The beach is the highlight at The Santiburi and the property occupies a prime location right on the middle of this gorgeous long stretch of golden sand. We had lunch beach side and the Caesar Salad that I had with fresh prawns was so delicious!

In my opinion, the Santiburi is one of the best places in Asia for a family summer holiday. The hotel is very relaxed and informal, so maybe not for everyone but if you are looking for somewhere low-key with great activities for all the family and warm sunny days in the summer school holidays, then this is the perfect place. The staff at the Santiburi are fantastic with children of all ages. For little ones, they can provide toys on the beach and amenities such as bathrobes for kids. For older children, there is a great range of activities with everything from tennis and windsurfing lessons to batik painting and football tournaments. After a busy day of activities, or perhaps just relaxing on the beach, that is one of the very best on the island, I would highly recommend dinner at Rim Talay. This is Santiburi’s beach restaurant and we had a delicious meal there surrounded by lanterns with out feet digging in the sand – the perfect end to a lovely day.
