The bandas are hand woven from traditional Zanzibari palm fronds, all with their own private verandah which is perfect for escaping the midday heat and enjoying an afternoon siesta. Mnemba Island Lodge lies 4.5 km (3 miles) off the northeastern tip of Zanzibar Island, Tanzania. The Island is 1.5 km in circumference and is surrounded by a tropical Indian Ocean coral reef.
8.5 hour international flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi and then a short flight to Stonetown Airport in Zanzibar. A chauffeured transfer will then transport you from ZNZ airport to the north of the island, a journey of 1 hour 20 minutes. Kick off your shoes at the Muyuni jetty for a 15 min boat transfer to the island. No crossing before sunrise or after sunset.
