Begin your day at Montserrat Natural Park, where a Benedictine monastery is hidden among the unique rock formations of Montserrat mountain. The community has existed here for almost a millenium - the monastery was founded in 1025, however it has been rebuilt several times over the years, most recently following destruction by Napoleon's troops in the 19th century.
After exploring the monastery, continue on to discover the fantastic wines of the region. Your first stop is a boutique, family-run winery, that has been growing vines for over 2,000 years. Learn about the winemaking process and taste four of the wines alongside delicious local delicacies. The second winery on your tour specialises in cava, a sparkling wine traditionally produced in Catalonia. Discover the history of cava and sample a selection of these delicious wines.
