Port de Soller is a highly recommended destination. It was originally the seaside fishermen's village belonging to the town of Soller. This natural port continues to provide fishing but there are also sailing boats, small cafes, local fish restaurants and the beach of Es Repic. Port de Soller is easily connected to Soller by road but can also be assessed by the 100 year old wooded tram, a must do excursion that takes the visitor through orange groves, farms and narrow cobbled streets ending at Soller's main square with its impressive 12th century church and modernist buildings (kids especially love the ride!). The train between Soller and Palma is considered one of the most beautiful train rides in Spain as it travels through the mountain range providing lots of wonderful photo opportunities. Soller is a market town offering visitors a wide variety of artisan shops, bars and restaurants.
The beauty of this coastline, its mild climate and rich culture, tradition and gastronomy makes this a popular choice for guests at all times of the year.
When to visit
The Sunset Bar is a must for an 'apres-beach' drink. The local Mallorcan gin, teamed up with one of the speciality tonics is so refreshing, while you sit back and watch the sun disappear on another glorious day.
Situated on the romantic and famous West coast of Mallorca with its dramatic and rugged coastline, 35 kilometres from the airport. You will find a range of restaurants, bars and shops in Port de Soller.
Pro Cycling Tours & Hire
Mallorca is a mecca for road cycling and many professional teams train there regularly. The island has wide roads with tarmac as smooth as glass, some epic climbs and descents and scenery to take your breath away (if the climbs don’t).
