As you continue along your tour, your guide will take you around Woodstock's beautiful country roads and surrounding farms where you will stop and visit the Billings Farm & Museum, one of the finest outdoor scientific-farming history museums in the country. Time for lunch as you arrive at Simon Pearce restaurant, recipient of the Wine Spectator ‘Best Award of Excellence’ here you can savor a delicious American meal while taking in the beautiful backdrop of the Ottauquechee River waterfall and covered bridge.
After lunch (payable locally), you'll drive to nearby Quechee Gorge, Vermont's deepest glacial gorge and one of New England's most popular natural wonders. The view from its bridge is a jaw-dropping 165 feet to the river below. This provides a breathtaking view of the shallow valley that the Ottauquechee River has cut its way through. Here you will have the option of hiking to the bottom of the gorge and back along an easy trail that takes about 30 minutes round trip. Finally, stop to visit the Quechee Antique Mall, a 17,000 square foot barn located in nearby Quechee Gorge Village which has evolved into one of Vermont's premier shopping attractions, beloved by locals and tourists alike for its many antique stores with vintage and collectable items. At the end of your exciting day, your guide will return you to your hotel.
