This is chance to learn the art of creating a New Orleans style home cooked meal to impress your friends back home. Your private cookery lesson takes place in a renovated molasses warehouse built in the early 1800s. During the session, your chef will introduce you to the origins and evolution of the recipes you will prepare for a delicious 4-course lunch. You will learn the spices and flavours characteristic of Cajun cooking and work with local produce such as boudin sausage, okra, grits, crawfish and shrimp, a mainstay of gumbo soups. Under the supervision of your chef you will cut, season, and prepare a flavoursome lunch of four courses, served with local beer, wine, sweet, iced tea and lemonade.
