Hiking at Stillpoint Lodge

With endless miles of scenic hiking trails offering forest and coastal views, guided hiking is a wonderful way to appreciate the Alaskan landscape. Choose from two full day boat and mountain hikes or a half day glacier lake hike.

Hiking at Stillpoint Lodge

The lodge offers two fabulous full day hikes. The Summit Alpine Ridge Hike involves a short 10-minute boat ride to the trailhead. A rugged 1,600-feet climb up a mountain trail, through forest and above the treeline, rewards hikers with magnificent alpine views of Kachemak Bay and Grewingk Glacier.

Alternatively, opt for the challenging Grace Ridge Hike. This starts with a one-way 25-minute boat ride into Tutka Bay, before embarking on an 11-mile guided hike along rugged mountain trails. You will hike through old-growth forest and along an exposed ridgeline for glorious views of Sadie Cove, Cook Inlet, and distant volcanoes. Hikers carry their own picnic lunch and provisions throughout the day.

For those looking for a more leisurely half day hike, choose the Grewingk Glacier Lake option. After a short 10-minute boat trip to the trailhead, there is a 1.5-mile hike to a stunning iceberg strewn lake, backed by a colossal glacier.
