Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter. Game viewing in Samburu is great year-round. The best time of year to visit the Maasai Mara is during the Great Wildebeest Migration which tends to pass through the Mara between mid July to late October but the wildlife is present year-round, and there is always plenty to see here. The weather on the Kenya coast is typically sunny and calm from July until October, with trade winds bringing cooler breezes throughout the rest of the year. January til March can be quite hot and humid.
