Elephant Pepper Camp is an original safari camp situated in the Mara North Conservancy attached to one of the world’s greatest wildlife reserves, the Maasai Mara. This fascinating ecosystem is home to enormous herds of plains game, big cats and elephants, as well as colourful birds, small game, riverine wildlife and stunning scenery. Located on the Koiyaki Community group ranch in the northern part of the Mara, the camp is very low key, with no generator to interfere with the sounds of the bush and resident lion pride! The camp has never poured one bag of cement and could be completely removed leaving a virgin site.
There are eight canvas tented rooms with en-suite dressing rooms, flush toilets and safari showers with running water. There are also two beautiful larger honeymoon tents, which can also be used for families as they can put a couple of extra beds in the tent. The main lounge/dining tent offers family style dining and a help-yourself bar. Activities include day and night game drives in 4-wheel drive Land Rovers, guided walks to look at the smaller things, and also bush picnics. The homely atmosphere of the camp is part of its unique charm and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Delicious meals by the campfire or on a bush breakfast in the open plains are some of the lasting memories to take home.
