Whale Watching in Marino Ballena
During the whale watching tour you will have the opportunity to spot pilot whales and humpback whales as they migrate during their mating season, following the warm waters of the Central Pacific Ocean. The tour starts from Manuel Antonio and it takes about 1 hour drive to the Marino Ballena National Park. Along the way the naturalist guide will explain the history of the region and show you different beaches such as Dominical, Playa Matapalo and Playa Uvita. Once on the boat, you will sail along the coast of the Pacific Ocean for three hours in search of whales and dolphins, going by the beautiful Roca Ballena, las Cavernas in front of Playa Ventanas, Roca Viuda and Tres Hermanas, a natural rock system.
Whale watching is not an exact science - we can’t guarantee that you will spot one, however chances to see a whale are very high!
