Visit Shanghai old town & The Yu Garden

Full of old China charm, enjoy a visit to Shanghai's old town. Although mostly restored, you can still spend time wandering around and getting lost in the remaining lilongs (equivalent to Beijing’s hutongs).

The old town is also home to the Yu Garden, a famous classical garden which was completed in 1577. Learn about the Chinese art of gardenscaping here as you stroll around.
