With a beautiful location on the Bund and a sympathetic design incorporating the original Shanghai Club and the addition of the modern purpose built wing, The Waldorf Astoria is the perfect Shanghai combination.
The guest rooms at Waldorf Astoria are separated into the Tower rooms which are in the modern wing and the Club rooms located on the historic side. The Tower rooms are wonderful and spacious, equipped with state of the art in room technology and expansive marble bathrooms with double vanities. Views are offered of the river below, which cuts through Shanghai, or the stunning historic district in which the hotel is located. The Club rooms are all suites in design and bring alive the old school glamour of Shanghai. The rooms are traditionally designed with timber panelling, wooden floors and traditional furniture.
There are three fantastic restaurants, two lounges and a brilliant bar in which to indulge and unwind. Serving an array of authentic Chinese and modern French cuisines, fine dining to light bites there is something to suit everyone. The Waldorf Astoria Spa takes its influence from both traditional Chinese medicine philosophies and modern contemporary techniques. Alongside the spa there is a 24-hour fitness centre, large indoor swimming pool, steam room and sauna.
