Situated just south of the equator, the Seychelles has a warm tropical climate. The consistently warm tropical weather makes the Seychelles a good year round destination. There is little fluctuation in warmth, with temperatures ranging from 24C to 31C all year round. From May to October a southeast trade wind can bring marginally cooler weather and fresh breezes. From November to March the northwest monsoon wind blows, typically raising temperature and humidity. December and January are the wettest months, but the rain falls in short sharp bursts before the sun comes out again.

This is a super slick and contemporary resort with first class facilities and high standards of service. An excellent choice for a luxury honeymoon or for a family holiday. The villas are beautiful and very stylish and the views from the bathtub are just incredible! Raffles is located on Praslin - one of my favourite islands in the Seychelles. Praslin is ideally located to explore neibouring islands such as Curieuse and La Digue.

Raffles Seychelles is a slick and modern hotel, in a great location, just down the road from the famous beach of Anse Lazio. It is definitely worth paying the extra to go for an Ocean View Villa, or a Panoramic Villa, which offer the very best views in the resort, over to Curious Island. I really enjoyed the food here, with a superb creole buffet, and breakfast the following morning was equally excellent. It's great to be able to chat with the chefs who mingle with the guests at meal times.

The real wow here comes from the amazing views out to sea, the location of the accommodation is stunning. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the villas at the top of the hill which commands the most amazing panoramic views out over the rooftops of the resort below and out to sea. The beds are very luxurious and comfortable with many guests asking if they may purchase the bed made by a particular German bed company. They are positioned facing out of the villas with sea views, as are the bath tubs with a panoramic glass window. Each villa has its own infinity edge plunge pool and decking area to soak up the Seychelles sunshine.

Located on the North side of Praslin this is a hotel with fantastic views as rooms are set on the rocky hillside, looking towards the ocean and neighbouring island of Curieuse. This is a fairly new hotel on the island and is very contemporary. On arrival you will meet your personal villa butler who is on hand 24 hours a day for anything you might need. The food here is exquisite with three restaurants to choose from. Spend your days relaxing in the spa, by the enormous pool, or swimming in the ocean. For those wanting to explore outside of the hotel, take bikes to the nearby Anse Lazio sandy beach or a trip to Valle de Mai national park and World Heritage Site where you can learn about the Coco De Mer and go hiking.

Raffles is very contemporary in style with wonderful views of the ocean. All the villas are dotted around the headland and some closer to the beach. The vegetation has grown over the years heightening the privacy, some more private than others. Stay in one of the panoramic villas giving you the very best vistas. Each and every villa has a plunge pool and the bedroom and bathroom are incredibly spacious. Each villa has its own butler who are there for you 24 hours to answer any questions you may have. The spa has 13 treatment rooms, some indoor and some outdoor. It has been voted the biggest and best spa in the Seychelles. The hotel has a very large pool and a number of different dining options, the latest opening being the Japenese restaurant. Enjoy a mojito, local beer, fresh juices, smoothies and light snacks throughout the day at Pti Zil bar.
