Spitzkoppe Lodge
Spitzkoppe Lodge is set within the spectacular and remote Spitzkoppe Mountains situated between Usakos and Swakopmund near the Erongo Mountain range.
Highlights
Spitzkoppe Lodge is nestled in giant granite boulders and dramatic rock formations which were formed over 150 million years ago! With stunning vistas over the surrounding mountains and plains below, this is a must stop on any self drive route in Namibia even if just to break up the driving between the north and south.
With only 15 chalets, the stylish, private accommodation is tastefully furnished each with a private bathroom and outside deck, so you can admire the view with a cold beer in hand. There is also pool, restaurant, fire pit, bar and plenty of decks with 360° panoramas. The buildings are linked with elevated walkways all constructed to minimise the impact on the environment.
With strong eco-credentials, Spitskoppe has minimal impact on the local environment. Water, which is unfit for humane consumption is sourced from boreholes and purified via reverse osmosis plant. The lodge is connected to the national grid by way of a 5km long underground cable for it’s electricity supply, all to ensure minimum disturbance of the spectacular archaeological landscape.
