  • Go in search of desert-adapted animals such as elephants, lion, and even rhino.

  • Enjoy stunning vistas from the comfort of camp

  • Arrive into camp in the late afternoon by light aircraft and enjoy a sundowner drive around the campfire.

Bordering the Skeleton Coast National Park, Leylandsdrift Camp is found in the heart of the Kunene region and is usually used as the second stop on the Schoemans Skeleton Coast Flying Safari. This area is both remote and spectacular with views over a river valley that has been known to be frequented by desert-adapted animals such as elephant, lion and even a small number of black rhino.

The camp itself is simple with each tent having been built on raised wooden decks in order to make the most out of the stunning vistas. Each tent comes with en-suite bathroom facilities with a bucket shower, a basin with fresh running water and flush toilets. Meals are served in the main camp central area with sundowners and evening drinks enjoyed around a campfire.

Leylandsdrift is located in a beautiful area for exploring. Drives into the Hoarusib River Valley offer a chance to find some local wildlife species searching for shade and water, as well as some birds that live in the area.
