There is no more luxurious way to explore the African wilderness than with an exclusive flying safari. In your private plane you'll travel from Botswana to Kenya, witnessing some of nature's most incredible spectacles, from the winding waterways of the Okavango Delta to the endless plains of the Maasai Mara. With a maximum group size of six, your safari experience will be personal, private and the ultimate in style.

Your flying safari will start in Botswana, traveling up to Kenya, or vice versa. A typical northbound circuit will start in Johannesburg, where you'll meet your private guide and your pilot before boarding the plane for the first time to head to Botswana. Your first stop is the Okavango Delta and the remote Duba Plains camp. With just five luxury tents and a two-bedroom suite, Duba Plains offers an intimate safari experience as well as plenty of opportunities to spot the resident prides of lion hunting during the day. Head out on your first game drive, or alternatively explore the Okavango Delta from the water in traditional mokoro canoes.

From the floodplains of the Okavango Delta, you'll fly east to Botswana's Selinda Reserve and Zarafa Camp. Overlooking the source of the renowned Savute Channel, Zarafa Camp sleeps a maximum of eight guests and offers a personalized safari experience. With the style of a bygone safari era, Zarafa Camp is the perfect base for exploring the Selinda Reserve. Try a night drive to spot some of the nocturnal species or simply sit back and relax in the sunken hide at the edge of the waterhole.

After leaving Zarafa Camp you'll fly north to Kenya's Chyulu Hills in the south-east of the country. Here you'll stay at the exclusive Ol Donyo Lodge, home to jaw-dropping scenery and views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Particularly known for its horse riding safaris, Ol Donyo is the perfect place to try a horseback excursion, where you may be able to get up close and personal to some of the smaller animals. Located in the path of seasonal elephant migrations, here you'll spot some of the biggest!

Your final stop will be the infamous Maasai Mara, where you'll stay at the intimate Mara Plains camp. Here you'll find the largest population of lion and leopard in the greater Maasai Mara area, and you will often hear lion roaring or even catch a glimpse of the elusive leopard. Night drives can be arranged here, and bush walks make for a fantastic way to explore the area and discover some of the smallest species. Understatement is key at Mara Plains, with decor paying homage to Maasai culture as well as the classic safari era of the past. There is no better place to relax than around Mara Plains' fire pit with a sundowner, revisiting memories of your African adventure before flying to Nairobi and, finally, home.
