The best and most popular times to visit Osaka are the climatically stable seasons of spring (March to May) and autumn (late September to November). The highlight of spring is the cherry-blossom season, which usually arrives in Osaka in early April. Bear in mind, though, that the blossoms are notoriously fickle, blooming any time from late March to mid-April. Autumn is an equally good time to travel, with pleasant temperatures and soothing autumn colours, which usually peak between late October and mid-November. Of course, you can visit Osaka at any time of year, although the summer, from June to August, can be very hot and humid, and winter can be a little chilly for some people’s taste.

The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is located in the prestigious business and shopping district of Nishi-Umeda and features some of the largest guest rooms in Japan. Stylishly designed, with historic Georgian features, the property offers a unique stay.
Centrally located in the fashionable Nishi-Umeda district, The Ritz Carlton Osaka provides a convenient and luxurious stay in Osaka. Blending perfectly with the buzzing and fast paced city, the exterior of the Ritz Carlton has a contemporary and modern feel. However, it is a different story when you venture inside with interiors mirroring a historic Georgian Manor House complete with four poster beds, antiques, and wood-panelled corridors.
The guest rooms at the Ritz Carlton offer some of the largest in Japan and range from the comfortable Superior and Deluxe Rooms up to the lavish and expansive Suites. All offer beautiful views over Osaka and follow the rest of the hotel in style, favouring a traditional European Heritage style with muted and tasteful tones.
As a city that is known for its culinary prowess, The Ritz Carlton does not disappoint. Included in its repertoire is its fantastic Michelin-starred French Restaurant La Baie, traditional Hanagatami which is a celebration of Japanese cuisine, Xiang Tao providing Cantonese dishes and Splendido with traditional Naples-style pizzas and contemporary Italian cuisine. Alongside there is also the Bar in which to relax after days exploring and the Lobby Lounge serving English and Chinese Afternoon Tea.

Osaka is a fascinating city to explore. As Japan's second largest metropolis behind Tokyo, the city is especially known for its culinary scene. Located all within easy distance from the hotel are the Yamazaki Distillery, Dotonbori Street packed full with little restaurants and small bars, the Osaka Aquarium and Shitennoji Temple. Of course the historic cities of Kyoto and Nara are also within easy distance and completely feasible as day trips from Osaka.

Just a 15 minute car ride from Osaka train station and a 5 minute walk from the metro station, the Ritz-Carlton Osaka is the ideal place to stay while exploring Japans self proclaimed foodie capital. Walking into the hotel lobby the hotel boasts grand chandeliers and ornate decorations almost as if this luxury Japanese hotel has a British twist. No matter what room category you choose to stay in, every room offers soaring views over Osaka. However, to maximize your city view request a corner view. Throughout your time at The Ritz Carlton Osaka take time to dine at one of the hotels five restaurants, including their Michelin star French restaurant. If your room permits, enjoy happy hour at the Club Lounge before dining downstairs.

The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is the best luxury accommodation option in Osaka. Located a short walk from one of the two main train stations that connects to Kyoto in 30 minutes, it would also be a great choice for those wanting to explore Kyoto during peak season without paying the peak season accommodation costs. Attentive service is delivered with a smile and the views across the city are superb, especially at night time. I would highly recommend upgrading to Club Lounge access to be able to benefit from a quieter check in area and to enjoy breakfast and cocktail hour with views.
