Just a four-hour train journey from Tokyo, Hida Takayama is a charming village with a traditional atmosphere, nestled amongst Japan’s snowy Alps. The hotel is a short walk from the popular Old Town area, morning market and Takayama station. All of the rooms boast panoramic views of the mountains and their interiors have been designed to reflect the woodland in the surrounding landscape. The hotel has a range of rooms, from standard twin and triple rooms ideal for families, to Japanese suite rooms, where up to five guests can enjoy the simplistic elegance of a traditional Japanese home.

The Hotel Associa has a number of facilities, including two karaoke rooms, where you can enjoy Japan’s favourite past time whilst sipping on cocktails from the bar. The hotel also has two tennis courts for use in the warmer months and ski lockers for guests to store their equipment. The hotel’s shop sells handicrafts, fashion accessories and souvenirs, as well as convenience items such as snacks and sweets. The spa offers a range of pampering treatments and has a sauna for those looking to relax and unwind.

The hotel has a range of dining options, with each restaurant using local ingredients. The main Rosiere restaurant serves buffet-style meals with wonderful views of the Japanese Alps. As well as a teppanyaki corner, guests can also enjoy noodle dishes, curry dishes, seafood and sushi, and a range of desserts such as fruit tarts and chocolate mousse. Kaun serves delicious seafood dishes and has a sushi counter. Yushokuraku is a casual yet traditional Japanese restaurant and bar, and The Scenery Lounge and the Estmare Bar serve drinks and local sake.
