Puglian farmhouse cooking experience
Often translated as ‘the food of the poor’, ‘la cucina povera’ is the Italian term to indicate Apulian cooking. Chiara with share her passion for all Mediterranean food, she will share the secrets of a long tradition of Apulian cuisine with you and present you with authentic, freshly prepared delicacies using products from the region. During your cooking class you learn how to use different types of wheat and cereals, by grinding and kneading to create your own focaccia, to be seasoned with ingredients collected together from the garden and will make typical shapes of wheat semolina pasta: Orecchiette, Cavatelli and Laganari. She is also a certified olive oil taster, and she will show you how to recognize and use extra virgin olive oil. Feast on your creations for dinner.
