Average time to visit
December to March is the best of year to visit the Andaman Islands. This is when diving is at its optimum and you can also enjoy turtle nesting season and game fishing. Expect dry and warm weather during the day and cooler evenings. April and May are sunny but humid. June through to September see long and heavy rains with short and unpredictable periods of sunshine. October and November can bring short rains, with a good chance of uninterrupted sunshine.

The Jalakara Villa is a exclusive loft style space with private deck ideal for some yoga. This space boasts a large living area, its own copper infinity plunge pool and a large hammock to while away the afternoon. The villa is wrapped in woven teak with the ability to be opened up to the surrounding forest, sitting cantilevered into the hillside.
Jalakara has a 16 metre infinity pool with its own bar and dining area for relaxing. Yoga classes take place in the courtyard, there is also small spa which offers thai massage treatments. Evening dining takes place in the pavilion which is stocked with your favourite after dinner games for some light evening entertainment.

This small resort on Havelock Island in the Bay of Bengal is set in rainforest and tropical fruit trees, a short 10-minute drive inland from the quirkily named Beach No. 7. Havelock Island sits just north west of Port Blair, the Andaman's main arrival point.
How to get there
Fly into Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair from several desintations including Chennai, Calcutta, Delhi or Hyderabad . Havelock is then a 1-hour 30-minute transfer by scheduled ferry. Please note depending on connection you may have a few hours to wait for the ferry. You will be taken to either a local restaurant or market during this time.
