Nordic climate - May, June and July are the driest months of the year. Mid-June to August is high season, but most highland tours don’t operate until July because of snow. At other times, many tourist facilities outside Reykjavík are closed. From September through March, the night is dark enough to see the Aurora Borealis.

Day 1 – Arrival & Sky Lagoon Bliss
Touch down in Iceland and head straight to the Sky Lagoon, where warm geothermal waters meet the wild Atlantic horizon. It's the perfect antidote to travel, unhurried, restorative, utterly transporting. Afterwards, continue to Torfhus Retreat, your countryside retreat where the pace slows and the landscape opens up. Surrounded by rolling hills and crisp air, this is where your Icelandic story begins. Two nights here give you time to settle in, breathe deeply, and let anticipation build for the days ahead.
Day 2 – Golden Circle & Glacier Thrills
Today brings Iceland's greatest hits: Gullfoss' thundering cascade, Geysir's erupting plumes, and Þingvellir's dramatic rift valley where continents drift apart. Your private guide tailors the day to your rhythm, plenty of stops, no rushing. In winter, trade sightseeing for adrenaline with a snowmobiling expedition across Langjökull Glacier, carving through ice beneath vast skies. It's exhilarating, elemental, and entirely unforgettable. Return to Torfhus Retreat for a fireside evening, recounting the day's adventures over warm drinks and unhurried conversation.

Day 3 – Journey to Deplar Farm
Head north by helicopter or private transfer to the Troll Peninsula, where Deplar Farm awaits. This former sheep farm has been transformed into something rather special, a remote lodge that marries rugged Icelandic wilderness with serious comfort. Surrounded by mountains and fjords, it feels like the edge of the world. Your three nights here are all about immersion: into the landscape, into experiences tailored precisely to what you love, and into a kind of stillness that's increasingly rare.
Day 4–5 – Deplar Farm Freedom
These days unfold at your own pace. Perhaps it's heli-skiing through untouched powder, fat-biking across volcanic trails, or sea kayaking beneath towering peaks. There's space to reconnect, whether that's during a couples' spa treatment, a yoga session overlooking the fjord, or simply floating together in the geothermal pool as dusk settles. Every meal is chef-crafted, every detail considered. It's adventure and ease, perfectly balanced, with the freedom to shape each day exactly as you wish.

Day 6 – South to Blue Lagoon or Reykjavik
Return south for your final two nights. Choose the Blue Lagoon Retreat, an exclusive enclave carved into ancient lava, where volcanic waters and architectural beauty collide, or opt for a design-forward hotel in central Reykjavik if you're watching the budget. Either way, this shift in setting brings new energy: either deep restoration or urban exploration. Both options reflect Scott Dunn's commitment to choice that genuinely suits how you travel together.
Day 7 – ATV Expedition or Spa Indulgence
Today splits depending on where you've landed. ATV riders tear across the Reykjanes Peninsula, navigating lava fields, coastal cliffs, and geothermal vents, a raw, thrilling farewell to Iceland's elemental beauty. At the Retreat, meanwhile, the day belongs to blissful ritual: couples' massage treatments, flotation therapy, volcanic mud wraps. Both paths honour what makes this trip yours, adrenaline or restoration, exploration or surrender. Either way, it's a fitting finale.
Day 8 – Departure
One last breakfast, perhaps a final dip if time allows, then transfer to the airport with ease. What you carry home isn't just photographs, it's the feeling of having been truly looked after, of a journey shaped around your needs as a couple, where every moment felt considered. Iceland's fire and ice linger long after you've left.
