Courchevel offers a great balance of high and medium altitude and predominantly north-facing slopes to offer excellent skiing throughout the winter. In December, huge capacity for artificial snowmaking and the connection to the Val Thorens valley make good skiing probable. Courchevel really comes into its own from January to March, typically seeing regular snowfalls with some of the best conditions often found in April. When it gets really cold, runs to the lower villages are bearable and come spring time, north-facing pitches hold up well.

Activities
Courchevel is one of the world’s premier ski resorts with good reason. The skiing has breadth and depth that is unequalled. The extent of the Three Valleys combined with perfectly groomed runs, vertiginous off-piste couloirs, gentle runs at village level and much admired tree skiing mean Courchevel has lots for skiers of all standards.
Courchevel is part of the largest ski area in the world, with 600km of runs to enjoy. Guests staying in Courchevel 1650 are within easy reach of the two nearby valleys; Meribel and Val Thorens, and of course Courchevel 1850. Cross country ski runs through the trees are great fun for those wanting to push themselves that bit further. There is great off-piste skiing around Courchevel 1650 in addition to snowparks and easy beginner slopes.
Apart from skiing, the village has plenty to offer - from many famous eateries, to a flight from the famous altiport. The toboggan run to 1550 is another favourite, and snowshoeing and paragliding can also be enjoyed.
Reviews
Claire Medlock (Staff)
For an independent group of friends or family, alpine residences offer guests a cosy home from home experience. Within easy reach of the shops, restaurants and slopes of 1650 thanks to the covered escalator just steps away. If you are looking for all the bells and whistles of a catered chalet this wont be for you but offers a more relaxed option in Courchevel.
