The Oberoi Zahra is the finest and most luxurious ship operating on the Nile. The leisurely 7-night cruise gives the perfect balance between sightseeing and relaxation – with on board spa treatments that pamper you like a Pharaoh.

The Oberoi Zahra has brought a new sophistication to the cruise experience on the Nile. Until recently, guests would expect long days spent exploring the history and temples before returning to a formal dinner packed into a 3 or 4 day cruise. Now Oberoi have met the demands of modern guests wanting to blend a cultural curiosity with a time to rest, recuperate and enjoy what Egypt has to offer.

With only 25 cabins and two suites, the Zahra retains a highly intimate feel. The cabins have large windows which overlook the Nile and are spread over 30sq metres with a minimalist finish with timber floors. The suites are larger have a separate living room with added gadgetry. Interconnecting cabins are available for families. The cabins also have other added benefits such as WiFi and a 24-hour butler service. Put simply, you will find no better quality of cabins on the Nile and the Oberoi Zahra is the pinnacle of refinement and sophistication.

There are four therapy rooms on The Oberoi Zahra with a private shower and steam room. With views over the Nile, the Zahra offers a full range of treatments. Many guests enjoy a morning of sightseeing before returning to the spa for a treatment or two, then retiring upstairs for a light snack while gazing towards the banks of the Nile with an early evening drink of choice. Added to this, guests can enjoy a delightful swimming pool, gym, games room, theatre and library. This is all in keeping with the ethos of having time to relax on the Nile.

It goes without saying that The Oberoi Zahra has the finest Egyptologists on hand to ensure that you make the very most of the antiquity on offer. Further to this, the Zahra has its own private moorings which ensures that your experience is culturally fulfilling, relaxing and above all luxurious.

Gail Hodgson (Guest)

Having recently returned from a most amazing trip to Egypt, organised by you, I felt compelled to put my thoughts in writing. The Zahra, our cruise boat down the Nile, was impeccable. Attention to detail was observable in all areas and emanated from the superb leadership and management of Mr Milad. The staff anticipated our every need and responded with true professionalism, friendliness and dedication. The cabins were luxurious and beautifully appointed. The food was absolutely outstanding. Each day we were treated to visiting the most wonderful sites under the direction of an inspiring guide.

We felt privileged to be experiencing the treasures of this wonderful country, sometimes completely alone!

At all times we felt very safe and protected. I want to urge anyone keen to visit Egypt to do so as soon as possible before the crowds return. If they want a holiday of a lifetime chose the Oberoi Zahra!

Staying on-board The Oberoi Zahra you would be forgiven for forgetting you are on a boat at all. I certainly had to remind myself! With ample space both in-cabin and communal areas, great facilities and staff Zahra is wonderfully comfortable and a great way to explore some of the most impressive parts of Ancient Egypt. With huge windows throughout, views of the Nile are always present and the top deck with its fantastic pool and bar is the perfect place to watch the sun rise or set over the Egyptian landscape.

Mrs Rosemary Bates (Guest)

Cannot speak more highly about this wonderful boat on the Nile. This is probably the best holiday we have ever had and the luxury and hospitality we experienced on the Zahra would be impossible to exceed. We stayed in

one of the luxury suites and the accommodation and facilities were top notch with our own private deck and hot tub no request was too much for the wonderful staff.

The food on Zahra was outstanding with the Head Chef coming over every lunch and dinner time to check on our enjoyment. The diversity of menu was superb and every course we ate was absolutely amazing - we have eaten in many Michelin restaurants but the food served on Zahra was some of the best ever.

Our Egyptologist on Zahra, Emad, was excellent and so knowledgeable about the history of Egypt, the Temples and tombs of the Pharaohs. There were only 4 of us with Emad and we felt so lucky to have such personalised

Zahra must be the best boat on the Nile and we cannot recommend it more highly. We would recommend anyone thinking about going to Luxor and the Nile to go now, as there are very few tourists, and we had most of the

Temples and tombs to ourselves and saw virtually no other boats on the Nile - felt like we were visiting Egypt 100 years ago! We felt totally safe everywhere we went but security on Zahra was the highest.

Alice Moseley (Staff)

With it being the only boat on the Nile with a spa it is a great way to relax in between site seeing. A stunning boat with some of the best food. Both lunch and dinner have four courses so you will definitely not go hungry!

Kerry Willmer (Staff)

This is one of the top Nile experiences and the Oberoi Zahra is one of the best boats you can go on Clean lines, very modern and so comfortable. It has a great roof top deck with a pool and lots of space and shade to lounge around in. The food was superb quality and you will find the overall experience a great way to explore Egypt in style
