The climate in Cyprus warm and sunny for the majority of the year with the risk of the odd shower of rain and some cooler periods over the winter. From March/April onwards the weather settles but it can sometimes be cool in the evenings. By May, the weather generally settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August when it can be very hot. Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. May and October are particularly pleasurable months.

Scott Dunn and Thanos Hotels have an exciting childcare partnership and are offering dedicated and expert programmes for children of all ages, from 4-months to 11 years.
Children of all ages are made very welcome at Anassa. Situated in a cool, shady location between the beach and the heated children’s pool, the Explorers kids club at Anassa for children aged four months to 11 years, has a dedicated sleep room, kitchen, spacious indoor area with carefully divided sections for different age groups and a shaded playground. The focal point of the club is the enormous long feature wall that has been painted by local artists, and it is here where our child carers and rangers are based for action packed days in and around the club.
|Globetrotters: 4 months - 2 years||
When it comes to looking after our youngest guests, good communication with parents is absolutely key. Our experienced nannies will take time to discuss your child’s routine and go out of their way to follow it, to help keep your child happy and settled.
With exceptional childcare ratios: 4 months to 18-20 months with a ratio of 1:2 and 20 months+ with a ratio of 1:3, we provide suitable activities and routines for their relevant age and stage. The daily activities have been tailored taking into account the weather and of course the fun factor. Complimentary nappies, swimming nappies, wipes, fresh milk, purees and meals freshly made prepared on a daily basis are provided during club hours. When it’s nap time, they can settle down in the specially designed sleep room.
|Adventurers: 3 to 4 years||
This age group is kept busy with lots of fantastic activities. Children can get creative with locally inspired activities like designing their own mosaics, baking delicious Cypriot cakes or taking part in traditional Cypriot games in the garden organised by the amazing Explorers childcare team.

Voyagers spend much of their time out and about making the most of the exciting activities and sporting facilities the resort and the Explorer team have on offer. Elements of the Cypriot culture and tradition are transferred in a fun and interactive way for children to learn and discover for example trying out the local Cypriot dance moves and finding out what’s growing in the kitchen garden. When they do have some chill out time, an area full of toys and games welcomes them where they can catch up with their new friends.

The Anassa has earned itself the reputation of being the most luxurious five star hotel on Cyprus, and for very good reason. From the moment that you are greeted at the hotels entrance and walk into the marble grandeur of its entrance hall and reception area, you know that you are somewhere truly special. The hotels classically styled buildings are set amongst beautiful gardens and are just a short stroll away from a calm secluded bay, giving a wonderfully calm and peaceful feel to the whole property. The rooms themselves have been finished immaculately to an extremely high standard, and all are light, fresh and spacious.
The hotels heated pools, superb Explorers kids club, excellent range of water sports, PADI diving, sailing and tennis opportunities, make this a top choice with families looking for some guaranteed warmth and sunshine over Easter and May and October half terms, but the exclusivity and sophistication of the hotel buildings, restaurant and spa area also make it an excellent option for couples of all ages (just travel outside school holidays to avoid busy family periods).
The food at the Anassa is truly superb. The buffet breakfast has almost too much choice, and there is an excellent selection of different foods to fit every palate and dietary requirement. Basilico and Helios offer delicious fine dining options, and Pelagos is the perfect place for a long relaxing poolside lunch. Amphora, the buffet restaurant, has a different theme each day, with menus displayed in advance so you can plan ahead, and the quality of the dishes produced goes far above what you might normally expect from a buffet.
Service is consistently attentive, friendly and considerate, and nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff here to provide. If you are seeking sun, relaxation, and some quality time away with those closest to you, then look no further than the Anassa

Every day at The Anassa is blissful - waking up to the sight of the warm blue sea from our suite was a daily pleasure. Scott Dunn really think about how to make luxury holidays family-friendly so that both children and their parents can have a restful and enjoyable break. The Anassa is amongst the best hotels we have ever stayed in and suits our family perfectly. Our son tells us he would like to live at the hotel!

The Anassa is lovely and the staff are all exceptional. My daughter really enjoyed spending time with Savannah at the Kids Club. She was fantastic. Savannah was very easy to speak to and established a lovely bond with my daughter. She made her feel welcome, safe and most importantly she initiated lots of fun amongst the children. My daughter enjoyed herself so much that there were tears on the way to the airport. She said she was going to miss the friends she had made; including Savannah!

The kids club staff - truly amazing, in particular Savannah, Marney and Doksa. It was wonderful seeing our children playing in the swimming pool, happily, with the kids club staff.

The service at the Anassa was absolutely exceptional. I have travelled to 57 different countries and stayed in some wonderful hotels and this was the best service we have had.
The Kids club was also brilliant. Proper activities and great staff. I used to be on the leadership team in Primary schools and your staff particularly Dorita and Peter really stood out as extremely well trained.

The Anassa is set in a quiet Western bay of Cyprus with panoramic views of the sea and beautiful Mediterranean architecture. It boasts everything you want for a luxury holiday; extremely good service, food and kids facilities the perfect spot for a family holiday. This is a great hotel for ultimate relaxation, and if youre after an activity filled holiday the Anassa may not be suited to you.
Wander through the hotel grounds and youll find a wealth of gorgeous flowers and foliage, although they can be very overgrown!! The food at the Anassa is superb and the Armonia bar terrace is the idyllic spot to listen to some live music and drink a cocktail to watch the sunset! For the best value, be sure to book on half board as the Anassa food and beverage can be a tad expensive!
Cyprus is gloriously hot at Easter and autumn half term but its trump card for those travelling with under fours is that its less than five hours on a plane from London, saving you the hell of long-haul. And luckily, the nannies from Scott Dunn (English-speaking, young, smiley) are on hand to absolve you of a moments guilt about disentangling yourself for a few house (or 9.30am-5.30pm if you prefer). The club sits between the beach and the heated childrens pool, little ones are cared for in the air-conditioned playroom, divided into different areas to suit various ages (theres even a sleep room, so that babies return well rested rather than scratchy). Under the shade of pine trees is a playground and two ping pong tables for older siblings. And the Baby Go Lightly service ensures you have all the kit buggies, monitors, baby walkers, cots and bottle warmers and will provide baby food, wipes and nappies. But best of all this is a stunning, California-comes-toCyprus hotel with a whitewashed grandness thats so pretty and sophisticated you could even bring the grandparents. There are rolling lawns, huge bowels of scented lilies, geraniums and a grown-up but unintimidating spa. Many of the 166 rooms and all the suites face the gorgeous blue glitter of Chrysochou Bay; some have their own plunge pools. Its perfect for big family get-togethers, with lots of interconnecting family rooms, a watersports centre with kite surfing and scuba diving and two tennis courts. And that beach just along from the fishing village of Latchi (far from the carnage of Paphos) is lined with sleek sunbeds and has service as smooth as honey.
Best Hotels for Honeymoons
"Located on the stunning and windswept north-western coastline on Cyprus - an hour's scenic drive from Paphos - Anassa is a marvellous place for a honeymoon.
A serene collection of houses and villas, the hotel's many houses have been arranged like a traditional village and facing the sea. You'll find Anassa just between the small town of Polis and the ruggedly handsome and stunning Akamas peninsula, and there are plenty of options if you feel up for excursion - from walking treks to vineyards.
There are plenty of reasons to stay put, too, with an award-winning spa (ranked in the top 10 in Cond Nast Traveller's Readers Spa Awards 2010), lovely pools and great restaurants. Book a room on the eastern side of the development if you want peace and quiet; the pools and restaurants are located closely to the buildings on the western side, which means they might be more convenient, if also a little louder."

The Anassa hotel is found on the north west coast of Cyprus. The small fishing village of Latchi where you'll find restaurants, bars and shops is 10 minutes away, and the quiet town of Polis, on the edge of the Akamas peninsula nature reserve is 15 minutes away.
