Anne who is the Scott Dunn rep at Sun Gardens was incredible and went above and beyond any rep we have had before. Her service was First Class. The kids team were equally incredible, again never had service like we received there. The whole set up from Scott Dunn should be replicated as it is in Sun Gardens. We have never been treated as we were there - amazing staff.

I am a very well travelled person and in general like the best of everything. When planning our first overseas holiday with the kids, I scoured the internet for reviews on travel companies with good kids clubs. Scott Dunn came up time and time again and I can now understand why. The resort is excellent, the hotel staff so friendly and the facilities great. Scott Dunn were unparalleled in their administration when booking the holiday and all the info and their professional and friendly service has followed through on-site at the resort. Out in-resort contact Anne has been amazing assisting with this and that and the kids club is brilliant. The staff are so friendly, polite and professional and the number of activities the kids do each day are astounding and so varied. The kids can't wait for the next day! The babysitting is done by one of the kids club staff so the children already know them when they arrive. Really nice and reassuring. Really wasn't sure what to expect and we have been surprised and delighted all the way. The resort also has an adults only pool which is lovely for a bit of respite! Will definitely be using Scott Dunn again in the future. No hesitation!

We took our family and stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments at Sun Gardens which was one of the most perfect family holidays. Eliza has been chatting about going to the cafe for an enormous delicious breakfast ever since! Our girls (aged 2 1/2 and 11 months) just loved the Scott Dunn Explorers Kids Club, the nannies were brilliant with them, even though Eliza was definitely not convinced by the idea at first. The toddler pool was perfect for them and was a highlight of the holiday. We also loved all going into Dubrovnik on the water taxi and exploring the old city.

Sun Gardens is definitely the place to be if you want to relax and be pampered in stunning surroundings with a choice of great restaurants - in and outside the resort. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuine, which is always a sign of a quality hotel. I would recommend staying in the residences, the extra space and the kitchen facilities are worth every penny although make sure you are prepared for lots of steps. A sea view room is an absolute must, I couldn't get enough of the beautiful Adriatic coast to wake up to every morning. The restaurant which stood out for me was Cilantro, the service, wine and delicious food exceeded all expectations, and the views topped it off. The adult only pool is a great touch in a family friendly resort which means it is suitable for all sorts of guests, to explore Dubrovnik and relax in a beautiful hotel setting.

This resort, whilst it has everything you could need on site, its real USP is its setting and proximity to so many lovely local areas. Unlike lots of large family hotels, you arent confined to the resort, but encouraged to explore the beautiful City of Dubrovnik and its surrounding coastline and islands. A boat trip to visit the nearby islands is a must, you can hop off for a wander round Lopud, discover quiet coves to go snorkelling and see the Croatian landscape from a different perspective. The accommodation ticks the boxes, theyre spacious and clean, they may not have the wow factor of some hotel rooms, but they are really convenient when travelling as a family. The residences are perfect for families, with the handy kitchenette and living space, its definitely worth going for the sea views as these are amazing. The main hotel is an imposing building, and the rooms do feel a little corporate, but are comfortable and spaceious, and offer easy access to the resorts facilities. The resort is built into a hillside, which means there are amazing views throughout the resort, but also means there are steps throughout! The Sports Centre is fantastic, whether youre a bit of a fitness freak or want to try something different, theres so much to choose from and it really exceeded my expectations. There is a good variety of restaurants, but so many nearby that you really should venture out as there are delicious, great value local places.

Childcare was excellent. Charlotte is a great nanny and was great with Max! We felt 100% comfortable leaving Max with her and Lindsey. We will definitely recommend their services to our friends and family.
Bald Family - September 2018 (Guest)
We didn't use the childcare but babysitting one night which was excellent. Anne was amazing and helped us with so many questions. She sorted out the room layout so our children could be in one room, accessed a coffee maker, advised and booked our meals and trips out. She even helped us to organise a sailing trip with a skipper for a morning which was brilliant and not a standard trip. This was as well as a trip to Dubrovnik and a day on a speedboat!
We have travelled with Scott Dunn many times before. Yet again we are beyond impressed they get everything right and go that little bit extra! We did not really use the childcare this time but in future trips we might dip back in.

Some lovely touches... Complimentary kids plates, cups and cutlery sets. Hamper of food and drink on arrival. Bed rails set up on the kids beds when we arrived. Kids club kit bags.
Lall Family - August 2018 (Guest)
Anne as guest relations manager was very helpful, welcoming and thoughtful. Small things like leaving pasta and sauce in the kitchen and some wine was a nice touch! When we had an issue she sorted it straight away. Range of childcare staff, all very good although we got to know Lindsay the best as she did most of the babysitting for us in the evenings and always on time, polite and reliable.

Travelling with small children can be stressful. The resort recommended by Alice was perfect for us. The facilities were excellent and the person you have on the ground was very helpful.
Denny Family - June 2018 (Guest)
5* childcare - can't recommend highly enough. In fact the whole service was 5* from start to finish.

The first thing you notice is the view, it's everywhere! The hotel occupies an amazing position perched on the side of the Adriatic with views over to several Islands all worth visiting including Lodpud and Sipan. Ignoring the cumbersome structure of the main hotel, the Sun Garden Residences stretch along the hillside, largely blending into the surrounding villages. Spacious, modern and ideally suited to families, the residences boost a surprisingly functional but attractive kitchenette and bags of living space. Our Two Bedroom Deluxe Sea View also benefited from a very large terrace with more amazing views of the Ocean, more than justifying the extra cost in my opinion.
Travelling out of season does often mean you don't get see properties at their best and whilst many areas of the hotel were still getting started you definitely got a sense that main public areas, particularity the main promenades, would have really buzz about them in peak season. There is undoubtedly more than enough within the hotel to keep most guests occupied however, this hotel is all about Dubrovnik and the surroundings islands, our boat excursion to Sipan was a real highlight and an absolute must when staying at the hotel!

Sun Gardens definitely exceeded all exceptions that I had for a hotel in Dubrovnik. From the moment we where collected in the airport in a new Mercedes air conditioned mini van, to the views that you are instantly immersed to from your transfer. I was not expecting Dubrovnik to be so green, but learning that it stands for 'Oak Forest' it definitely does not disappoint. The swift arrival to the hotel in a 30 minute transfer means it's perfect for families who are eager to get their holiday started.
With 2 main choices of accommodation Sun Gardens has something for everyone. You can either choose to stay in a residence, which has a between 1-3 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchenette which is great for those who like to do some of the cooking themselves. I would also recommend staying in the main hotel as they have great interconnecting rooms or suites, which is ideal if you want the family close but don't need kitchen facilities.
Giving yourself a day away from Dubrovnik and visiting the local islands is a must. You can do a day trip to Lopud Island, where the only sandy beach in Dubrovnik lies. Or why not go and visit Lokrum island which is said to be cursed - meaning no one ever spends the night there Spooky! For a bit of extra excitement, why not try the Games of Thrones tour.

When travelling in the peak summer months with older children then look no further than Sun Gardens in Croatia. Situated just 15 minutes from the beautiful Old Town of Dubrovnik and right on the clear waters of the Adriatic Sea the resort offers something for all the family. The accommodation on offer is perfect for families looking for a bit more space as the residences have two bedrooms, two large bathrooms and a separate living room and fully stocked kitchenette. They also benefit from large sea view balconies that offer fantastic space to enjoy an evening family meal as the sun goes down over Lopud Island.
During the day, Croatia offers so much to do for a family looking for more than just a beach and pool. The resort itself has a great sports centre including squash and clay tennis courts, well equipped gym and a huge indoor spa with treatment rooms and a juice bar. Outside of the resort, Korkyra Concierge (who have a desk in Sun Gardens) can organise half and full-day excursions to all sorts of amazing places of interest. The most popular being the boat trips to the islands situated just off the coast where you can visit sandy beaches and small villages with lovely restaurants all offering the Catch of The Day. You can also stop off in quiet bays and lower the anchor to enjoy snorkelling in the caves whilst looking out for sea life in the crystal clear Adriatic Sea.
