Osa Peninsula

Located in the south west of Costa Rica, the Osa Peninsula is one of the most remote and ruggedly beautiful regions in the country. With pristine beaches extending to the bright blue Pacific Ocean and virgin forest, the Osa Peninsula is described by National Geographic as the ’most biologically intense place on Earth’.

Osa Peninsula

The main natural attraction of the Osa is the 42,000-hectare Corcovado National Park, home to rare and endangered species including jaguar, puma, scarlet macaw, crocodile, tapir, poison dart frogs, and the harpy eagle. The beaches are also major nesting sites for several varieties of sea turtles, and whales can be spotted from December to April, and June to November. The adventurous will love it here, with surfing, snorkelling, diving, hiking, bird watching, kayaking, fishing and horse riding all on offer.
