The mountainous gorges and forested plains along the Yangtze River make autumn and spring the prime time for a Yangtze Cruise, with clear skies and pleasant temperatures making ideal sightseeing weather. Winter can be spectacular, despite the cold, when the water level is lower in the Three Gorges and the soaring cliffs even more dramatic.

Located on the 6th floor, the tranquil wellness centre houses a 20-metre heated indoor pool, saunas and a fully-equipped fitness centre, with amazing city views.

The 230 rooms and suites are all generously-sized, beautifully-appointed and full of contemporary charm and chic. Children are welcome at Niccolo Chengdu, however there are no specific childcare facilities available.


There is informal dining at Niccolo Kitchen which has an open kitchen serving delicious Asian and Eastern cuisine or for traditional Cantonese and classic Sichuan head to the more formal Yue Hin Chinese restaurant. Afternoon tea served in the Tea Lounge is a delight or for relaxing over a drink head to The Bar. There is also a gym, indoor 20-metre lap pool and dry sauna.


Guests can work-out in the gym overlooking the city, swim laps in the pool and relax in the sauna. International Finance Square is famous for its mega mall which includes flagship designer stores, an ice-rink, IMAX cinema complex, sculpture garden and art gallery. Other local activities include attending a Sichuan opera, a visit to the Shu Brocade Embroidery Museum and a chance to visit the Chengdu panda breeding research facility.
