This stunning colonial mansion overlooks the bay of Guanabana and Sugar loaf mountain. It is in the heart of the artistic district of Rio de Janerio and has an unique authentic charm. Santa Theresa has winding, cobbled streets lined with beautiful mansions and quaint cafes. It sits just in front of the forest meaning that birdsong echoes through the streets, giving you a great sense of 'authentic Rio'. The city’s main attractions, however, are only a short taxi ride away so will you will never be short of things to do. The mansion has been designed by the charming Parisian owner, who has furnished it with a collection of antique and modern furniture from auctions around the world. The bedrooms are all light and uncluttered, with luxurious bathrooms and crisp French linen. Most rooms have private verandas with stunning views, and all have colonial wooden shutters. It is full of character, keeping a connection to the destination with no luxury lost, and the pool surrounded by birds of paradise is a gorgeous spot to relax. A sophisticated menu offers traditional Brazilian dishes with a twist of French influence; local fresh products are used where possible and afternoon tea is served daily by the pool. The owner adds an immeasurable charm to the property, he is keen to recommend his favourite spots and offers a very personable service throughout your stay.
