Reachable only by boat during the high water season, this intimate camp with only nine tents offers an exclusive experience steeped in the wonder and magic of this extraordinary ecosystem. Xaranna enjoys 25,000 hectares of pristine wilderness which will be shared by only 18 guests at any one time, meaning a totally private experience. Xaranna's guides are among the best and will gently introduce guests to the surrounding area and its resident game.
As well as excellent big game viewing there are diverse bird and plant species to enjoy, including the elusive Pel’s fishing owl. Bee eaters frequent the area and can often be seen in their noisy colonies and kingfishers can often be spotted darting in and out of the reeds.
Guided walking, 4x4, mokoro and powerboat adventures are all on offer - and the boat trips up the swollen waterways are a particular highlight, the boat able to drift up almost silently to game, giving amazing photographic opportunities.
Meals are a relaxed and friendly affair, complemented by delicious pan-African cuisine. The carefully positioned guest areas maximise the sweeping views across the channels, with classic delta tree-line silhouettes. The main guest areas offer a spacious games and reading area as well as a shaded veranda for dining.
Each spacious tent enjoys gorgeous views, as well as a romantic sala and private plunge pool.

I love the shop at Xaranna it is full of all the niknacks that are found around the lodge…very dangerous for the credit card.

Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp is set in a private wilderness concession of 25 000 hectares (61 800 acres) to the southeast of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve in the centre of one of the most unique regions in the world, the Okavango Delta. Renowned for its lush waterways and abundant wildlife, the Okavango is home to a number of aquatic and land species.
Fly into the Xudum airstrip, a mere 20-minute flight from Maun
(90-minute flight from Kasane), followed by a 45-minute game
drive and/or a boat ride into camp (depending on water levels).
